This position will be responsible for the development and implementation of the learning and professional development strategy for the World Council of Credit Unions as well as leading the eLearning programs, CPE accreditation for WOCCUs programs, and delivery of world class learning offering at the World Council’s global and regional conferences.
- Learning Strategy
- Develop the learning strategy for the World Council to include coordination between the eLearning and the face-to-face learning programs
- Continuous monitoring of the educational needs of the World Council’s membership and World Council curriculum development ensuring that learning programs are available to meet these needs
- Coordination of learning programs with the Training and Education departments of the World Council’s membership
- Preparation and execution of annual financial plan and responsible for meeting the department’s annual financial objectives
- Development of a dashboard and periodic reporting on the effectiveness and financial results of the Learning programs
- Development of the department’s marketing plan and coordination with the Communications and IT departments the execution of that plan via press releases, social media, and Learning page within the WOCCU website
2. eLearning Programs
- Identification of training partner organizations to provide content to meet the needs identified
- Negotiation of agreements with training partner organizations to achieve financial goals and include scorecards to monitor results of the programs
- Responsible for the sourcing, design, development, delivery and continuous improvement of the learning programs offered
- Work with IT to develop the required linkages between the World Council and the partners web pages and learning management systems
3. Continuing Education Certification
- Development of a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) strategy
- Oversee the relationship with CPE accrediting organizations within and outside of the United States and the respective certifications of WOCCU’s face-to-face and eLearning programs as deemed appropriate
- Ensure that appropriate documentation is maintained to allow attendees of the programs to claim CPE credits and for WOCCU to continue to be accredited with the CPE providers
4. World Credit Union Conference (WCUC) and other Regional Conferences
- Responsible for the development of the educational grid to be included with the annual WCUC hosted by the World Council
- Sourcing of the speakers, panelists and moderators for the Learning programs included in the WCUC educational grid
- Assist in the sourcing of speakers, panelists and moderators for the Learning programs included in other Regional Conferences and other Learning programs hosted by the World Council
- Work with the Meetings team to coordinate speaker contracts and other logistics for the conference Learning programs
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in HR, adult learning, teaching or a related field. Minimum of five years of experience in program design, development or consulting on course content, and / or delivery of learning programs for adults preferably in an eLearning environment. Knowledge ofeLearning development principles and technology. Familiarity with on-line Learning Management Systems and adult learning principles. Experience working with learning programs in a trade association or corporate learning setting. Previous supervisory experience and multi-lingual/multi-cultural experience a plus. Experience working with Credit Union industry preferred.
Language Skills: Strong fluency in English (read, write and speak) required. High language skills required including the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematic Skills: Intermediate mathematic skills required including the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
Reasoning Skills: High level of reasoning skills including the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: Intermediate knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, LMS, contact database and web applications.
